Parking Rules for the City of Anna Maria

City Ordinance #01-479*

Parking violations include, but are not limited to:

  1. Signs Prohibit Parking
  2. Parking on sidewalk
  3. Parking on street (all tires must be off of the pavement)
  4. Parked facing the wrong direction
  5. Angle Parking
  6. Parked within 30' of stop sign
  7. Parked within 20' of intersection
  8. Double Parked
  9. Blocking Driveway
  10. Parked between 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.
  11. Handicapped parking only

If you have received a parking ticket:

If a person is issued a parking violation citation, he or she can elect to pay the citation or contest it in court. The person cited is allowed 7 days to make payment. Total amount due is $30.00, which must be made payable to the City of Anna Maria.

Money Order, Cashier’s Check, Traveler’s Check or cash (cash payment not recommended when mailing) are accepted. However, after this time period, if the citation is not paid an additional late fee of $15.00 will be applied.

After this time period, if the citation is not paid or contested, the citation will be sent to collections.

To pay a parking violation: In person at the City Clerk’s Office (Monday thru Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) or mail to:

To contest a parking violation you must request a hearing in person within the 30 days at:

Monday thru Friday between 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

(By requesting a hearing you waive your right to pay the civil penalty and may be assessed up to $500.00)

PLEASE BRING YOUR COPY OF THE PARKING CITATION WHEN YOU APPEAR.
