Monday, June 16th, 2008

This year’s only permitted Independence Day fireworks celebration will be  held on the 3rd of July at the Beach House Restaurant in Bradenton Beach.   The West Manatee Fire Department along with the Island cities have created a website that will explain the laws regarding the use and possession of fireworks.  We all hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable stay during the Independence Day holiday!  Click here to view: http://www.wmfr.org/fireworks/index.html .

Monday, June 9th, 2008

The new water line to be installed on the West side of Gulf Drive from Peppertree Lane to Willow Avenue will start the week of June 9th and be completed by the end of August.
During this time there may be some water interruptions. If a break does occur Manatee County will have a crew close by for the repair. In case the interruptions take longer than expected, please have on hand bottle water as a back up.

Public Works informed the businesses and restaurants on the island of the water interruptions.
