Parking Rules for the City of Anna Maria

As you know, our roads in Anna Maria are narrow.  If we all comply with the parking regulations, not only are roads accessible to each of us, but our emergency vehicles can traverse safely.

Parking violations include, but are not limited to:
       Where signs prohibit parking
       Against the flow of traffic
       On ANY portion of the paved surface of the street
       At an angle (must park parallel with the roadway)
       On ANY portion of a sidewalk
       Parked within 30' of stop sign
       Parked within 20' of intersection
       Double Parked
       Blocking Driveway
       Parked within 15' of a fire hydrant

       Illegally parking in a handicapped space
       Other parking violations not specifically listed above 
 
If you have received a parking ticket:
The person cited is allowed 7 days to make payment. However, after this time period, if the citation is not paid an additional late fee will be applied. After this time period, if the citation is not paid, the citation will be sent to collections.

To pay a parking violation:
1. In person:
City Hall (10005 Gulf Drive), City Hall Annex (307 Pine Avenue), Anna Maria, FL
(Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

PLEASE BRING YOUR COPY OF THE PARKING CITATION WHEN YOU APPEAR.

Appeals are processed through a Special Magistrate Hearing.  Within 7 days, request an appeal online by clicking here, or email your contact information along with the violation number to  codemanager@cityofannamaria.com.  Please include your mailing address to be sent the notice of hearing  to appear before a Special Magistrate. 
Note: If an appeal of the violation is filed with the city and the violator fails to prevail, the Special Magistrate shall access a fine against the violator at the amount listed on the citation and assessed costs and fees, which are all expenses incurred by the city relating to its Code Inspector, City Attorney, expert witnesses, Administrative Staff, and expenses relating to services of notices, publication and other miscellaneous costs reasonably necessary in the prosecution pursuant to this ordinance of the specific violations of the city code as determined by order of the Special Magistrate.
